這個問題在自己心理卡很久了，“我怎麼交不到男朋友？”
“要等候，要耐心等候。”
是自己最常聽到的回答，之前還曾經很乖的等，
但是後來發現好像不盡然如此，沒作一點事來改變現狀好像說不過去。
但是做了一點事後，又擔心壞了大事...
昨天的證道，牧師Wayne的證道題目是，等候。
等候神，有兩件事是我們不應該做的，
第一件事是，什麼事都不做。
第二件事是，依靠自己的力量努力做。
聽起來很有衝突，做起來應該要是這樣的，
“什麼事都不做”的意思是，花時間先神的指示，然後才採取行動，並不是什麼都不做。
(Waiting on God has nothing to do with doing nothing, it has everything to do with taking the time out to listen to the master so that you know what action to do.)
有看過這樣的人嗎？婚姻觸礁，工作不順，子女失和，他們會說，有在禱告等候神，
事實上，他們是像鴕鳥一樣，遇到困難就把頭埋到沙坑裡，希望頭抬起來後就沒事了，
但是鴕鳥的頭，往往都是被獅子脫出來的，不願意附代價的不想從神那得到什麼。
(God never has and never well reward inactivity.)
有個比喻是，神按恩賜給僕人銀兩去使用，對於把銀兩埋起來的僕人，沒有一句稱讚的話。
另外一件不該做的事情是，是依靠自己的力量。
掃羅王心慌慌，在先知到位之前，自己就先獻了祭：
對我們而言，為了生活優渥，工作便利，星期天不工作我就沒有生活費。
我們不願意等候神是因為我們認為自己的努力是重要的，神只是副手，
缺乏忍耐的果子時，就是在告訴神，“我現在就要做，我不認為你值得信靠，
我知道你會幫我，但我不相信你真的會這麼做。”
先知以賽亞對等後神有很好的詮釋。
他所處的年代是個艱困的年代，即使在年輕人身上也看不到力量跟盼望，
人們常說，“算了，不可能的......”
He Gives power to those who are tired and worn out; he offers strength to the weak. Even youths will become exhausted, and young men will give up. But those who wait on the LORD will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. （Isaiah 40:29-31）
So, What does it mean to wait on the Lord?
1. Loose the agenda. Let God set the direction.
2. Don't come to God when you have a problem, you come to God because he is worthy to be praised.
3. Do things in God's strength not you own strength.
4. Realize that God is the source of every need you have. you can trust God.
